Kenneth C. Newell, AIA, LEED AP
Ken is a senior principal with Stewart Cooper Newell Architects and a member of International Association of Fire Chief's (IAFC). During his involvement with the Fire Station Design studio, he has been involved in over 100 Fire/EMS stations and fire training facilities across the United States. Ken is a sought after speaker and author and has been published in Fire Chief Magazine, Carolina Fire Rescue EMS Journal, and other Firefighter's Associations Publication.  He has also spoken at national and state fire conferences helping many more departments' successfully complete new facilities.  Ken joined Stewart Cooper Newell Architects after graduating from North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he obtained his architectural degrees. Ken has also received training by the University of Maryland as a designer of burn buildings and other public safety training facilities.
