James R. Stumbo, AIA, LEED AP
Jim is a senior principal with Stewart Cooper Newell Architects, and has designed or served as the lead design consultant for more than 75 public safety facilities since joining the firm in 1999.  Jim's areas of expertise include architectural and planning for Fire/EMS departments, 911/Emergency Operation Centers and Law Enforcement facilities. Jim also leads the studio for the design of Emergency Training Centers. He has received continuing education from the University of Maryland as a designer of burn buildings for training fire fighters. Jim has shared his experiences and knowledge through articles and public speaking with various publications and conferences around the country. Jim received his architectural degree from the University of Tennessee.
