City of Winston-Salem, NC Fire Station No. 20

The construction of Fire Station No. 20 was the first step in an effort by the City to accommodate for the growth the area is experiencing. Station 20 was designed as a prototype that is intended to be duplicated on future sites as growth occurs. The new station is located on Bethania-Rural Hall Road on the northwestern outskirts of the City; an area badly in need of quicker response times.

The exterior of the facility is designed to blend with the surrounding residential neighborhood. The station will have full building generator to maintain operations during power outages and the on-site fueling station will allow the crew to top off the tanks without driving out of the call area which would greatly increase response time.
