When this rapidly growing city needed to invest in new fire station facilities to better protect their growing population, they retained SCN-Architects. Working closely with town leaders, we designed a flexible, functional and secure prototype design station for this Gulf Coast community that can be built over and over again with minimal changes. This 2-bay substation can withstand over Category 3 hurricane winds, contains a safe room for its personnel, and is of a scale that allows it to fit into residential neighborhoods with ease. The station can be expanded to handle additional apparatus bays and satellite offices of other public safety departments.
