Town of Hilton Head Island, SC Fire Station No. 4

Station # 4 is based on the prototype design of Fire Rescue Station # 7. Both stations were designed by Stewart Cooper Newell Architects. The coastal barrier island location of this station presents several design issues including hurricane force winds and flooding. To tackle these issues the structure was designed to handle 125 MPH wind loads and the site is elevated to get the station above flood level.
