The town of Hilton Head Island requested that Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects design a new, low-cost Fire Training and Maintenance campus. The burn building is a pre-engineered metal structure capable of propane burning. The administrative office was designed to correlate aesthetically with the Town’s new Fire Substations; all of which were also designed by Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects. The facility was also designed to serve as an interim Town Hall in case of an emergency.
The facilities management warehouse will be used to house equipment and supplies. The fire training warehouse will be used to house offices, equipment and supplies. Both the facilities can also be used for vehicle maintenance.
