


The pre-engineered metal joint substation will respond to the needs of both the Town of Garner and the surrounding Wake County. The station was designed to blend with the local aesthetic, incorporating utility and standard brick veneer. The utility brick will be the dark water table and accent banding with the standard will act as the field.
The Fire Department includes an educational training/day room as well as 12 beds in the sleeping area. The EMS department features a day room as well as 4 beds and a supervisor. The shared spaces include 3 double length vehicle bays with full view aluminum overhead doors, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and a physical training/exercise area.
Per Wake County guidelines for design and construction, the substation incorporates high efficiency design that is incorporated in the HVAC and lighting.
