In order to keep pace with the Town’s growing population and need for additional Public Safety coverage, Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects designed the new Apex Fire & Police Substation. The facility contains a main entrance for Fire personnel and separate, isolated entrance and office space for Police staff. The station contains three, double-loaded apparatus bays, as well as seven individual sleep rooms for the Firefighters. The facility also contains a large day room/dining room. Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects designed both the new Fire & Police Substation and the new Police Department Headquarters simultaneously. Both facilities are now constructed and inhabited by the Fire and Police Departments.
